While I was on the way out for tuition on Monday, I spotted a monkey next to my house. It was walking lazily next to me, totally unafraid of me. I stopped to stare at it, amazed that there's a monkey in my estate. My neighbour's boys came riding out on bicycles and joined me in the staring activity. Then, my mum opened the kitchen window and shouted for me to get away from it. Upon hearing my mum's frightening voice, the monkey climbed up my fence and into my garden! It started to climb up my guava tree (picture above). I shouted for my mum to close all the windows upstairs as I watched the monkey moving towards my roof. But my mum just kept standing at the window and shouting for me to get away. Hello? Who is nearer the monkey now? It's freaking in my house and I'm separated from it by a huge fence. I continue walking towards the bus stop when I saw the monkey advancing to my neighbour's house with their windows wide open. HAHAHAHA. The boys raced home to close the windows. Good luck to them. According to my mum, the monkey got tired of the boring estate and decided to head into the prison for a peep.
I was at esplanade library today with Dicky and Liyee when we heard loud bangs. My sis exclaimed, "FIREWORKS!!" "What fireworks?", I replied. "More like liondance or something." Then I turn around and saw this (look above). ... ... Okay. My mistake. We saw fireworks shooting out from the huge ferriswheel. Then it occured to me that today is the official opening of the Singapore's ferriswheel. Wow! It certainly looks fantastic. Will make it a point to try it someday... ... if someone is willing to sponsor me. =p
However, the highlight of the day has got to be this:
WE WILL ROCK YOU!!! A rock musical by Ben Elton featuring mostly Queen's songs. WOAH!! Though the plot was kinda "kiddish" but it was really funny. Amazing vocals, wonderful costumes and cool visuals. Galileo ( played by Mig) was the lead character of the musical. The moment I heard his voice, I knew I was in love. Such clear and strong voice. Though I couldnt see his face very clearly from where I was, his voice was enough to mesmerise me. Awww... You can check out Mig's album which is out in stores now. Liyee and I are considering of purchasing his album. Add it to my car!!!
The amazing thing is that everyone in the musical has DAMN good vocals. The one who played Killer Queen... OH MY GOD! Her voice is truly legendary. Li yee said that having just half of her powerful vocals is enough for her already. Hahaha. Killer Queen also has this necklace with her initials. It was so incredibly shiny, I was almost blinded by it a few times. Li yee thinks that "Victoria B." has better vocals than Galileo though.
If I'm not wrong, the musical will still be showing in SG for a few more days. Go check it out at sistic and see if seats are still available. It's definitely worthed watching when there's a student price of $50 only!!!!!!!! Yup, that's why the both of us "chiong" to get the tickets. We were amazed by the incredibly good deal.
